Well kept, yet worn 1980s wool blend parade uniform of a navy captain Ist rank of the Soviet navy. The set is made from black wool and consist of tunic, trousers and visor cap.
The tunic has a tailor tag from a Sevastopol military tailor.
The shoulderboards hold three large metal stars on golden backing with black piping for the rank of captain Ist rank, equal to a colonel.
On the sleeves are the correct wide rank stripes, sewn-on, somewhat oxidized, matching the rank on the shoulder boards.
The collar decorations are attached to cloth pieces that are sewn on to the collar.
The buttons are standard navy type featuring an anchor and all buttons are present.
The visor cap matches the uniform and has a pressed cardboard visor with metal leaves.
The awards mounted include the following:
Order of October Revolution (copy), medal for 20th anniversary of the victory, medal for veteran of labor, medal for 1500th anniversary of the foundation of Kiev, medals for 40th, 50th and 60th anniversaries of the Soviet armed forces, 15 and 10 years of irreproachable service. The decorations on the wearers right include the Red Guards badge and a academy level graduation badge.
The visor cap of this set is a size 59 dating and is in very good condition with nice and bright visor decorations, golden cord and cap badge.
Overall, the uniform set is in very good condition and shows only light wear. The size for the tunic is US38 or EUR46-48 and the visor cap is a size 59-60. The belt with dagger hangers is not included with the uniform.
