Soviet Medal for Veteran of Labor

MEDALJ "VETERAN TRUDA"
The medal "Veteran of Labor" was established on 18 January 1974 and awarded to all workers of retirement age for their many years of labor in the Soviet economy, culture, science, medicine, and education. This medal could also be given to military personnel who had reached retirement age. It is made of a Zinc and Copper alloy. Approximately 36,000,000 were issued.

The award is a type 3 with Leningrad Monetnij Dvor mintmark. The award is made of tombac. The type 2 of the award has a blued front and it might be available upon request.
