Soviet M1969 parade uniform for a cold war era lieutenant colonel of the Soviet armed forces engineering branch. The shoulder boards are golden with two large metal stars each and the collar tab hold the engineering insignia on black velvet backing. Overall, the uniform is a army cut set in high quality wool. The uniform has, naturally, a few spots from wear and traces from the badges and awards being moved over time.
The awards are mounted in the pre-1980 diagonal fashion and the ribbons seems to be all-through original with various degree of wear. The awards include the Order of the Badge of Honor, the Order of Patriotic War II class (1985 jubilee award), the medal for battle merit, a number of anniversary and service awards, and somewhat interesting, the Bulgarian medal for merit to the construction troops. The badges include a proficiency badge and a red guards badge.
The size of the uniform is about size 52 russian or 42US. The visor cap is marked as a size 57 and has a pressed cardboard visor. The trousers are for wear with shoes. A parade belt is not included but can be purchased optionally.
