Soviet medical
lieutenant colonel
Obr. 69 parade uniform

1980 parade uniform of lieutenant colonel of the Soviet medical army branch, dating from the late 1970s or early 1980, for a lieutenant-colonel assigned to a mechanized infantry unit pre-1980, reflected by the red collar tabs with medical inisignia. During the 1969-1980 period, medical staff wore the crimson branch color unless assigned to a unit.

The shoulder boards have red piping which is also found along the legs of the trousers, the band of the cap as well as the collar tabs. The shoulder boards hold two large metal rank star each. All front buttons are present and carry the hammer and sickle in a star, and are the three-piece version with black backing.

The awards are mounted to two bars with a career from the mid 1950s through 1990 including the Order of Badge of Honor, the medal for Veteran Serviceman, a number of post-war anniversary awards including the medal for 100th anniversary of Lenin and 50th anniversary of Soviet militia, and all three classes of the Irreproachable service awards. On the wearers right is a graduation badge from a military academy.

The size of the uniform is 52 and the visor cap is size 57. All parts of the uniform is in a very good, light worn condition without damages. The cap is a nice 1970s Soviet era visor cap.
